Objectives:

• Create an environment surrounding the contest that is larger than any single contest
• Qualify as many competitive young people as possible for State 4-H Roundup
• Provide a project ending event that will surpass any 4-H event currently available at the county or district level
• Recognize youth in front of the broadest audience possible
• Create an event that combines educational opportunities with competition

Outline
• Host all District 9 4-H competitive events with the exception of Judging Contests, Shooting Sports, and Horse Show on May 3-5, 2018: Fashion Show, Fashion Storyboard, Food Show, Food Challenge, Consumer Decision Making, Share the Fun, Educational Presentations/Public Speaking, Quiz bowls, Wildlife Challenge, Photography, Scientific Poster, BBQ Cook-off and Leaders 4 Life, Ag Products ID Contest, Healthy Lifestyles, Vet Science Skillathon, Livestock Skillathon and Produce Judging.
• Host the event at a facility of Higher Education such as Lone Star Community College
• Host evening awards programs and entertainment for the entire delegation
• Schedule educational programs throughout the competition
• Make this qualifying event the biggest event of the year for District 9 Extension: Agent recognition, 4-Her recognition, Volunteer Recognition, County Talent shows etc…
