Description:
Leadership Institute is designed to be a fun hands on leadership event. Participation is limited because the focus is not on the development of the participant but on development of the 4-H program. To this end, you are trained to enhance the 4-H program on the county level. Participants are also used as a sounding board changes in the District 4-H program.

Objective:

  • Train a select group of youth to provide leadership to their local 4-H programs
  • Promote bonding and a sense of team work among the District Council
  • Plan the District 4-H program and seek input from youth on 4-H Programming

Details:

  • Transportation to and from is on your own
  • Incidentals – Minimal
  • More details will be sent to registered participants

Who should come:

  • Limit two representatives per county in addition to District Council Officers.
  • Must be 14 years of age or older with at least one year remaining in 4-H.
  • Plan the District 4-H program and seek input from youth on 4-H Programming

What to bring:

  • Attire – school appropriate casual
  • Bath and Swimming towels
  • Personal grooming items
  • Insect repellent
  • Sunscreen
  • Comfortable walking shoes
