Objective:
  • To perpetuate the reputation of Texas 4-H and Youth Development as an educational program.
  • To determine top placing teams and individuals in Educational Presentations, Share the Fun and Quiz Bowl contests and qualify contestants for State 4-H Roundup
  • To provide recognition for project work and skills development in the areas of public speaking and subject matter expertise
  • To promote teamwork for 4-H members and adult leaders and expand their knowledge of 4-H opportunities
  • To provide 4-H members the opportunity to compare the skills they have gained with those of other members and with their own previous performance.
  • To provide 4-H members with an opportunity to develop and practice public speaking and presentation skills.

Schedule:

9:00 a.m. Committee Arrival

9:15 a.m. Quiz Bowls Begins (Orientatiion & Completion)

9:30 a.m. Superintendent/Assistant Superintendents Orientation

9:45 a.m. Judges Orientation - Assistant Superintendent open & set up judging rooms

10:00 a.m. Participants Orientation
4-H member check in at contest rooms/area (Demonstration, Public Speaking, Share-the-Fun)

10:15 a.m. Contest Begins (Public Speaking & Share-the-Fun)

10:30 a.m. Swine Skill-a-Thon Workshop

All awards presentations will be conducted in contest rooms at the conclusion of judging within that room.


Fee:

$5 per entry
