D9 Leadership Lab – Back in Brownwood!!!!

State Poultry Workshop

Come hear from the experts on Poultry production as it relates to the Show Ring.  May 11, 2013 at Texas A&M University Pierce Pavillion. There is a cost of $50 per family to participate, but don’t let that scare you off.  This will be a hands on educational opportunity.  You will be learning from Major Livestock Show Poultry Judges and you will be handeling live birds. JOASC… Believe it or not that means Shotgun

Registration is now open on 4-H Connect for the 2013 4-H Junior Olympic Shotgun Camp (JOSC). JOSC is a camp for 4-H Shooting Sports members 11-14 years old with beginning and intermediate shotgun experience. The Schedule has been released for the State 4-H Horse Show, and if you plan on attending you’ll want to take a look at it.   As a reminder, you must ride in at least one class of a Qualifying Division at the District Horse Show in order to enter that Qualifying Division at the State Horse Show. Registration is now open on 4-H Connect for the 2013 4-H Wildlife Habitat Education Program (WHEP) State Contest. The deadline to submit a workshop proposal for the 2013 4-H Volunteer Conference has been exended until May 1st. Volunteers, County Extension Agents, Specialists, and external professionals are invited to submit a proposal to present a workshop at the conference, scheduled to be held in Plano July 12-14. Educational workshops should be geared toward volunteers and organized to equip them with knowledge, resources and tools to take back to their ocunty and 4-H clubs.
